Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started?
I'm new to CrossFit. What can I expect when i start?
You will spend your first 6 visits learning some of the most important movements in our workouts. In addition, you will discuss your fitness goals with a Coach and learn about the gym. We want you to focus on form more than performance or speed/weight in the beginning, as good form is the key to healthy growth and preventing injury.
It will take time before your body conditions to the level of fitness you’re working toward, and some soreness is to be expected for the first few weeks. But be patient, and give yourself some time to get there. With our coaching, and your commitment, your fitness goals should be a slam dunk.
In the beginning you may need workouts scaled or modified, and it’s important to realize that this is normal, and nothing to be worried about. Our Coaches diligently watch and assess our athletes to ensure their safety, and every member has different strengths. We pride ourselves on catering to the individual needs of each member while still offering a top notch program for every fitness level.
How should I prepare for each class?
Please arrive earlier than your scheduled time. Our classes are scheduled back to back, and it’s important that everyone be on time so that we can be respectful to others. We have a lot to cover in the hour that you’re with us. Please come dressed to work out with appropriate shoes, clothes, and water. It is of the utmost importance that you drink lots of water throughout the day, as well as after each workout.
How much does your program cost?
I've heard about excited CrossFit athletes... Are you guys a cult?
NOOOOOO! You may have at some point have met or heard of some overly enthusiast fitness geek… We’re not a cult but we are a community of passionate fitness-minded individuals. We love what we do and we love encouraging others to achieve their goals and fitness potential. Our excitement is infectious but you’re free to come and go as you choose 😉
